I'm wondering a few things about having an orchi prior to GRS...

Specifically in Australia...

• Do I need to get any psych evals? One, two, none?
• Will any orchi surgeon do the trick or is a GRS specialist preferred?
• Probable costs?

Generally

• What's the average recovery time?
• Post surgery care regime?
• Presumably you come off Spiro afterwards - any adverse effects re blood pressure or water retention
• How does the libido fare?
• Is it likely to make any difference at GRS stage for neo-vag materials?
• Does it make tucking easier?
• Your overall happiness with the procedure?

WPATH 7 says 2 referrals just like SRS.

Suporn won't always do SRS after an orchi. Its got to be done a very specific way. I don't know about other surgeons.

I think I've read somewhere that some people have to continue anti-androgen for a while afterwards. I don't recall how common this might be.
