Hey everyone! ;D
I'm getting my FFS done tomorrow, march 7th, with Facial Team in São Paulo=)
The surgery will happen tomorrow at 12:00pm Brasilia time and I am super SUPER excited!
These are the things I'm getting done :
Forehead recontouring( forehead reconstruction type III)
chin
jaw
Adam's apple

I've picked Facial Team because I like their philosophy of softening your features while keeping you looking like yourself. Plus, they made me feel secure since the first communication, they seem extremely professional and were a 1 hour plane ride from where I live, pretty convenient haha
It's also good to mention that Facial team's Spanish team isn't the same as their Brazilian team. The only Surgeon who's in both, I believe, is Daniel Simon. But I've seen their Brazilian results and they're just as good =)
It's been a hectic month trying to get all the pre operatory exams done but I made it hahaha
Took a flight this morning to Sao Paulo and had my last consultation before surgery, went to sephora to buy a new concealer (that'll probably be much needed a week from now) and now I just gotta enjoy the rest of the day and be prepared tomorrow morning.
If anyone has a question I can try to answer  :)
wish me luck, girls! I'll try to post pics and updates as things progress  ;)

Just updating :)
I had my surgery on Saturdayand it was 5:10 h long. Don't remember much of what happened later. Unlike Spain, as said by doctor Simon, we don't have the cold mask here in Brazil, So I just had bandages around my forehead and around my chin and jaw. Yesterday I had the bandages removed and the chin thingy was put on me.
Eating was hard, I threw up 4 times last morning. But ever since eatin was just fine =) I don't feel nauseous anymore, but it's a bit hard to talk and I have little mouth mobility, most likely a mix of the swelling and the bandages.
It doesn't hurt but it feels a bit uncomfortable, my chin and jaw are pretty swollen. The catheter was removed right after the doctor removed the first bandages. It didn't hurt having it in at all, but removing it was a sort of painful. I also had an inflatable boot on to avoid thrombosis and I got it taken off for good at 9 pm last night.
I decided to stay in the hospital for one more night since Dr Simon told me it'D be better to fly home tomorrow.
my lower face feels and looks very swollen,  but I could easily go around town like this.  so I'm just relaxing in bed, walking around a bit :) these are some pics on the day if the surgery and yesterday's pictures after surgery :) yes, I look stupid in the after pics hahaha

You're doing great my friendie.... 5-and-a-half hours is a decent time, so they must have had a lot of work to do.

By the way, didn't you used to have pink tips to your hair?  Now it's green?  What comes next?  ;D

Wow! What a beautiful young lady!  Seriously! :)

I know their prices, what exactly do you mean by "full FFS", as what most people understand as "full FFS" would cost a little bit more, around 10.000eur more...

Yes sry I had hairline lowering, forehead type 3, nose, jaw and chin job. No implants and no facelift.

Prices in the US are much higher than in Europe for same procedures with the top docs.

Prices for any kind of surgery in US are unreasonable.. with current eur-usd rate (and future prognosis) it makes that much more sense to those from US to have FFS in europe.

I got quote from Facial Team for about 25.000€ (forehead package, rhinoplasty, chin, jaw, trachea shave, cheek implants)...

Hi Lara!
If I remember you had FUE with Dr Mwamba a while ago. I'm thinking of following you strategy of doing hair transplants then FFS because I'm unsure if I want full FFS or not. So I'm really curious to know how it worked out with having a hairline advancement after hair transplant. Did the hairline lowering cause any damage to the hair grafts? Also did you feel the hair transplant didn't feminize you hairline enough? With hindsight would you still do a hair transplant?  :)

An observation for y'all who aren't tied into financial markets.

I concur re: US folks looking at .eu for surgery.  The recent, >20%, rise in $ strength make everything lower when priced in €.

Interestingly this make South American alternatives less attractive as they are quoted in USD.
