Better than I could hope

So I finally came out to my parents. It turned out better than I could have hoped. They had questions and were a little taken aback, but they didn't think I was unsure or anything. They were saying they might never call me he or Jace but they seemed fine with me transitioning. My dad says it's my life and to do what I have to do, my mom wants me to wait a bit before T. Both still love me very much.

I've been stressed about this for years and it was probably one of the easiest coming outs I've had....

Well done for biting the bullet! It's the same with me, I hate coming out to people even though so far coming out has only made life better.

That's great Jace! 😀 It's a tough thing to do, but it's good your parents are open about still loving you. It can be rough trying to make changes like a new name, or new pronouns, but just keep confidently trucking along during your transition and they sound supportive enough where they should see you the way you want to be seen soon enough. 🙂

Yeah I was never expecting it to go this great. My sister when we talked made it sound like they would be devastated. My dad keeps calling my baby girl liken normal but then changing it to boy and we are having a nice dinner tonight. The only way this could have gone better I think if they started automatically calling me by the right pronouns and names and gave me money for surgery.
