Quote from: lilangel on March 08, 2015, 03:56:37 PMI am probably years away from surgery being I'm only 19 and I am already looking at Brassard because he's in North America and not too far (driveable from where I currently live) and Chett because he has really good results as well from the website. What's the difference between their methods and which one is better (pros/cons?) I see that Chett looks like he has a method that has virtually no scarring but with brassard do the scars heal to nearly invisible?Any input is appreciated
Quote from: Jenna Marie on March 08, 2015, 06:26:14 PMI went to Brassard; by a year or so post-op my scars had faded to near invisibility and with my pubic hair grown out even I can't find them anymore. I also only had two scars that were about 2" long and 1/4" wide, one on each labia majora.I do have a longer review of Brassard's work around here somewhere, if you want me to look for it. Short version is, I'm fully sensate, aesthetics are excellent, and depth is adequate.
Quote from: Jenna Marie on March 08, 2015, 07:47:00 PMI think you should be able to see my review here : https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,182064.msg1614537.html#msg1614537Brassard's office sent me some additional, more recent photos. That's a perfectly reasonable thing to ask him for. Admittedly, his web site is terrible, and there's no pictures...
Quote from: lilangel on March 08, 2015, 07:08:21 PMI'd love to read it! And is there anywhere at all where he's posted results?? I wouldn't want to go to him blindly without looking at examples first.
Quote from: Myarkstir on March 08, 2015, 09:13:04 PMDr Brassard contractually forbids his patients from posting results.
Quote from: AnonyMs on March 08, 2015, 10:09:43 PMThat sounds appalling, and I must admit hard to believe it's true. Do you happen to have the appropriate part of the contract? I'd like to read it.Its the sort of thing unethical people/companies do to make sure if someone posts a bad review you can get it taken down, while leaving the good ones up, thus creating a false impression of of good work.http://www.forbes.com/sites/ericgoldman/2013/04/17/you-shouldnt-need-a-copyright-lawyer-to-pick-a-dentist/http://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2013/04/pain-relief-patient-can-sue-dentist-who-tried-to-censor-online-reviews/Its hard to believe Dr Brassard needs such a thing, but I can only assume it's either working as intended, he's not entirely ethical, or his lawyer put it in and he didn't pay much attention to it. Being a surgeon he's got to be reasonably intelligent, so I'm not sure about that last one. There's a transgender porn star who apparently went to Brassard, and her results look great. I wonder how that works? It would stop her doing her job if he enforced it, but on the other hand the results are good.I saw a post here recently about FFS at that clinic. Does that mean you're not allowed to post pictures of yourself after having FFS?Any other surgeons doing this?
Quote from: lilangel on March 08, 2015, 10:27:33 PMdo you know the name of the girl that went to brassard?
Quote from: AnonyMs on March 08, 2015, 10:50:19 PMI'm not sure about the site rules for this sort of thing, so I sent you a PM. Hopefully that's ok.
