I seem to recall that back in the days before Stonewall, mainline psychiatry had various "aversion therapies" that were supposed to cure homosexuals (to use the term they used then) of their perversion. I've heard things that suggested that transgender people got similar "therapies."
I was wondering if the conversion therapies in use now are derived from the psychiatric treatments from those days?
Most conversion "therapies" are derived from brainwashing techniques often with some aversion therapy thrown in. Also Stockholm Syndrome. Nasty little witches brew.

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.
