Okay, so I have a question for you men.

I have been on testosterone for the last 8 months and recently stopped for personal reasons. As soon as I am cleared again to start, I will be resuming hormone injections. I have already experienced a pretty solid voice drop, and increase is muscle size and vascularness. Since I've stopped I've had a decrease in facial hair (no growth now at all) and resumed menses.

My question is, are there other guys out there that have stopped and then resumed hormones like this and did you experience another voice drop? How were you able to notice changes the 2nd time around? I've been curious about this for a while but there isn't a lot of word from other guy on this.

I stopped hormones after around 8 months too and took a break for a bit over a year. I'm back on it now (it's been 8 months so far).

I noticed my voice increasing a tiny bit after hormones (not a whole lot), lost a good amount of muscle mass and felt like my face softened a bit.. my back acne stopped, skin softened.

Since I started T again, my voice has definitely dropped back to the level it was before and then some more! I also started growing quite a bit of facial hair (during my first round, I could barely grow any) so in a way it feels like I'm resuming where I left off. Comparing my photos from my first round of T and now, I've definitely become much more masculine (particularly my face).

That's great, thank you for sharing with me. I can't wait to get back on and see what else happens! :)

Slightly different scenario, but I switched from injections to topical about a year ago.  I personally felt like the topical wasn't working as well for me so I just switched back to injections about a month ago (2 shots) and everyone keeps asking me if I have a cold (I don't) just like they did when I first started T.  My voice is definitely dropping again, and I am almost 4 years on T.

I've heard of a lot of guys not having very much success with topical T, I'm glad you're back to feeling changes, bro. So that means you'd already been 2 years on T injections before you started topical? So you're voice was pretty well and developed then? It's really interesting that we can experience double drops in voice

I haven't gone off hormones completely, though it is a potential issue I'll be dealing with in the near future if I can't get a doctor to treat me. What I can say is that I've been on T 3 years with several dose adjustments and I have noticed that my voice still drops. I'll be fine for a few months and then I get a scratchy voice and two weeks later I can't sing at the same pitches anymore. I had the most fluctuation right around dose changes.

How noticeable the changes will be will partly depend on how many things that were irreversable had finished changing the last go round. Vocal cord thicken on T, and that takes some time, but lets say yours were half of where they were going when you stopped. You might notice a change in the deepening of your voice, but maybe not as radical as when you first started. keep in mind that the voice of cis males continues, in many cases, to deepen as they age. The longer you are on T, the more may change.

Since T effects people differently as individuals, I don't think your question can be answered 100%. The things that stopped, like hair growth should start again and muscle development as well.

Just as an aside, one of the things Dr.s seem to be concerned about is the ups and downs of T levels. I know you had to stop for personal reasons, but if at all possible, try to get them level and keep them that way.

Yeah I know that what is the experience for a lot of people won't be the experience that I have and I've only started and stopped one time, I'm perfectly healthy. I just wanted the perspective of other guys that had experienced the feeling of starting T and going through it a second time since the first time can be a pretty big deal to some of us.

I can't wait to get back on it and stay on it. I haven't noticed too much of a difference or softening in my musculature since I stopped or a heightening in my voice. I was on Sustanon and that has a habit for staying in the system for up to almost a month after your last injection so I was lucky in that respect.
