So I wanted to correct my M hairline in the corners, but I was just told that I should have FFS done first. I will need a tracheal shave and I'm opting for voice surgery over therapy too, but I have no idea what order to do all of this in. Please help me figure this out :)
Trying to take it one day at a time :)

The way I see it, you can get the M hairline fix along with FFS. However, I dont see why you cannot get the M hairline fix if you have like a year or so for FFS. As for the trach shave, I am not sure if the shave affects voice.

Well this is my opinion and I am not an expert on the topic, so please do take my suggestions with a pinch of salt.

Definitely have FFS before hair transplant. With hairline incision some of the M shape can be reduced, you might need 30% or even 50% less grafts. Compare that with possibly losing half of hair transplant because of doing it prior FFS.

You can do trachea shave along with other FFS procedures (safety depends on who is doing it) ... but if you are shure you will get VFS, it might be better idea to do trachea shave at the same time. Trachea shave, when done correctly, shouldn't effect voice in any way (after couple months).

Whether to do VFS or FFS first, it is completely up to your priorities. If your voice is really un-passable, keep in mind that your face might come-out very passable after FFS, and that could bring quite some attention.

Voice surgery is not a replacement for learning how to speak in a feminine manner.

Yeah, that would not solve the problem any more than speaking in a feminine manner and having James Earl Jones' booming voice.

When I had a consult with Dr. McGinn she said to have FFS before hair transplants. The forehead lowering is 1 to 2 cm by approximately 10 inches and it goes through the M. So if you have the transplants you will lose that area.

Also, there is a 6 month wait till the hair is able to be transplanted post forehead lowering.

Hey Jean, a few comments, but definitely it's FFS first and then fixing up your hair.  I did the two 6 months apart.  As for voice stuff, we don't know your voice, but do try to non-surgical approaches first.  I didn't use a therapist - I used a singing teacher to gradually move my vocal range about an octave higher, and I did a lot of learning by carefully listening to women on the radio and repeating how they used inflection.  If you're in the UK, BBC Radio 4's Women's Hour is the place to start.

Good luck
