Stopping hormones before surgery with injections

When I had my consult for surgery, I was on gel. I was told to cut my T to a half dose 4 weeks prior to surgery, and completely stop 2 weeks prior. I switched to injections almost two weeks ago and I'm not entirely sure how to proceed? I'm doing weekly doses, but I'm not sure if the same procedure still holds true or not. Hypothetically a half dose could be half of what I usually get, or I could just go a week without (and stop after next shot until after surgery). Not really keen on the latter (worried about shark week & rebuilding the "I'm scared of needles" wall) but wondering if anyone can tell me what they did or have heard about.

I've already contacted my surgeon, but have not heard back yet.

i didn't have to stop my injections before surgery. the only people who need to stop HRT are trans women because it can cause blood clots i believe. my endo even said it was okay, and so did my surgeon. i'm also on weekly doses and i had my shot two days before my surgery, and had it again the week after as scheduled. i know it varies with surgeon to surgeon though but i don't think it causes any real risks.

I never had to stop my T before any of the surgeries. At the time I was on injectable, depo every other week. Ask your surgeon for a specific reason why you have to stop.

I know its just a short time, but one of the things the Dr.s seem to worry about with T levels at least, is erratic blood levels. Once the appropriate level is reached, they usually like to stick with it.

Dr. Medalie had me forgo my shot the week before surgery but said I could do it after surgery as soon as I felt up to it. Did a quick Google and it seems fairly common that surgeons recommend you stop using T a week or two before surgery.
