Personally, I want to enlist and become a well rounded person, and contribute in a direct way. It is never perfect so it all takes time even when the ban is lifted. Only bummer is the solid doubt that we will not be able to be deployed to combat. I have been interested in the Navy Seals Land/Sea/Air and the Army Special Forces, but either way we have another opportunity to contribute and better ourselves. For the current generation and the rising and coming generations.

A move, an option.

Idk if I would do it, I can honestly see segregation out the ying yang and harassment complaints piling up so high that the DOD reverses it all together, especially the first time a DI smokes an entire class because a transgender person struggled with a rope climb or failed to get through a mud pit fast enough because they were trying to keep their hair out of their face.

I would because no matter what im not going to let others determine my human rights for me. im going to stand up for who i am and if any one fight me ill fight right back. I be damned if the military try and degrade me for being me. I expected to be treated like any other military member of my rank.

Sadly that won't happen.....remember the end of don't ask don't tell.....yeah I saw several rather open guys get put against guys that were a lot bigger and stronger than they were in hand to hand training and the overall pounding they took lasted longer than when a straight guy went down.

If they do that it will not phase me, I say this now but i truly mean what i say. I know they will target me just for this reason and may try to destroy me. But if i can pull through then hopefully they will see we are just as strong as anyone else.
