Question about Spiro
April 04, 2015, 08:53:36 PM
I my dosage was upped by my doctor from 1 tablet a day to 2. Should I now take both tablets at the same time or should 1 take them 12 hours apart?

You may want to call the doctor and ask.
I take my spiro morning and night. My script says two tablets per day. When I was on pills for estrogen I also took the dose morning and night. I asked my doctor and he said to take it that way. I do not know what medications you are on and when you take so it may be important so you may want to ask you doctor.

It's your call. I also take one morning and one night with the script saying take 2 tablets at day. I agree though best call your doctor and see what they would like you to do.

It may be better to do a divided dose (one morning, one night) as it is less load on the liver. But ultimately it is your doctor's call.

Morning and night here too, if you lookup the half life of Spiro it's really short. So if you were on a high dose, you would probably want to take it in the morning otherwise you will be awake all night for breaks. 🙂

Also look at that little info sheet you got with it from the pharmacy. It should have helpful advice, side effects and warnings. Talk with your doctor and pharmacist. They know.
