Hi, I just wanted to share my recent experience in switching from intermuscular injections (IM) to Sub q. I had been on IM injections for about 7 years and recently my Dr. suggested I switch to Sub q injections because I mentioned that I had been getting nervous every time I had to inject. Sub q is a lot easier to inject and previously my wife had been doing the IM injections, now that I switched to Sub Q I am able to do it on my own in my stomach area. Aside from being a lot easier to inject, I also noticed a difference in hair growth. I've been doing Sub Q for about 2 months and already I've seen my beard get fuller and more chest hair. Overall, I would recommend Sub Q to others who are having any troubles with IM injections. Best of luck to all!

Thanks for the review! I have heard from multiple guys who do SubQ that they are injecting into the stomach - is this the only injection site with SubQ? Personally I only have a bit of trouble getting over the mental hurdle to go IM into the thigh. I think I would have a lot more trouble sticking myself anywhere in the torso region.

Legs seem very resilient to me. I know there's plenty of fat to work with in the stomach region, but it would make me nervous.

I was actually trained to do it in my inner thigh, like the really fatty part between the legs, but was told the stomach was also okay. I believe you can also do other locations but those are the main two. I prefer stomach myself because I feel like I have more fat there, but other people do better with the leg.

My paperwork (diagrams), show to only do sub-q on the stomach (either side of the belly button about 3-4 inches width on either side), with that line thinning out to around the back, also using the "love handle" area, until about the spine.  I am not to do it anywhere else.  I think you should ask your PCP where you can inject on your body.  It might be all the same, but I would still ask my PCP.

My partner and I used to inject in our love handle region, but switched over to our stomachs, especially now that I'm doing shots on my own (actually I gave myself my second shot on my own today). I commend people who do IM injections, because I'd imagine it would hurt a lot. I was mentally ->-bleeped-<-ting myself over giving myself my shot for the firs time, but it honestly didn't hurt at all. I didn't even feel the initial prick to be honest. I was sore for a few days because I think I did it too slow, but it wasn't bad at all.

You could also do your shots in your butt, but I don't know if there's a specific spot in that region or not.
