For those with SOs, did your SO have you /let you carry their purse in public when you were at the beginning of your transition?

Randi often had me carry he's for her even before either of us realized that I'm trans. when I did I wanted to carry things of my own.. I hate stuffing my pockets and my tablet is a bit large. I had bought a few small tote bags and when she got tired of watching me use them she bought me a Coach bag at the Coach men's outlet. I still carry it daily. It's pretty gender neutral but I often get compliments. However, she still calls it a messenger bag, she just can't seem to call it a purse!
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

Yes I also carry my messenger bag when I travel on light rail. My pockets can't carry all my daily essentials.

My wife does not have governance over what i wear or carry, other than making a few fashion suggestions here and there, most of which i solicit.

I went from gender neutral sorts of messenger bags to more traditional purses like ones from Fossil. My style is pretty casual, so i like leather purses and backpacks. Fringe and various adornment is nice though.

Thanks for sharing. My wife has had me carry her pursue while viewing museums, gardens, etc. She likes to take pictures and says it gets in her way, which it did. She got the joy of taking pictures and I got the joy of getting used to carrying a purse.  The other day she left her purse at home and asked if I could bring it to her whe I got to her office , she advised she was busy at the moment and asked if I could bring it to her. I enjoyed it. It brought back pleasant memories.
