Well one of the biggest concerns I have is all my scarring on my body I have many scars on my body and legs the 2 main ones I am concerned with is when I had knee surgery its about a 7" scar down my right knee and I have 2 really ugly scars on my for head from an accident that are really prominent I have been told  to use mederma but is their any other cheap ways to get rid of or lighten scars ??

Wild Flower

Hydroquinone to light dark pigmentation.

Retin-A to make skin look overall better.

I don't know much more, and can't afford the expensive treatments....

I know scars suck, but there's nothing to do about it... if I ever become a multi-millionaire, my whole body is going to receive laser skin treatment, surgeries up the butt, and anything to make me beautiful.... till that day, I rely on illusions (clothing, perfumes), and smokes and mirrors.

There is a really great line of skin-tone and color correcting concealers from Kyrolan called Dermacolor:

https://us.kryolan.com/product-lines/dermacolor

They are made to cover scars, tattoos, etc.  Kyrolan is sold at makeup artist stores where they can help you find your color(s), or you can order the nearest palette to test out your shade.

Angela, I'm so much like you. I did have some fears about FFS, mostly about scars. (I still have some fears lol)

That's because I have ugly scars all over - except on my chest and on my face, where there's only a small one that could be helpful for FFS.

I can tell from experience that compression helps minimize the scars. I posted on the FFS forum, see:
https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,186616.0.html

Maybe you can try some very light compression - something as light as socks or where the belt goes did make a difference for me.

FFS done in 2015
