Religious leaders are objecting to transsexual Jowelle de Souza's bid to be elected to public office, saying her policies would seek to advocate the lifestyles of non-heterosexuals, which they see as immoral.

I am really appalled and I have no idea why my own birth country would hold on to this nonsense.

Christ welcomed sinners, if we are even sinners (we are not).

The Hindu God Shiva is portrayed as a man AND a woman. Brahman is genderless.

Jowelle has done many good things, and is a successful independent businesswoman in Trinidad and Tobago. These so-called leaders cannot hold a candle to what she has done. 

So-called religious leaders need to read their Bible and Bhagavad Gita!!!
