When I came out to my parents and three sisters, my parents gave me support as well as one sister. The other two reacted negatively. I had to block one and the other cut me off at first. Recently one of them reached out to me in an email. She's still not able to accept me as a sister instead of a brother, but at least she's being civil about it. The other one has reconnected with me. Its still a long way to go, but its also a huge improvement over what was happening before.

Congrats, Ashley. It's wonderful to hear that things are heading in a positive direction with your family and how they are handling your transition. Hugs

I have thought countless times about how coming out would mean having to cut off from my queerphobic parents, but things like this give me hope. So thanks.
