I have an allergy and take it seriously,to cigarette and cigar smoke.Luckily my wife Renee understands, she is an RN nurse in the medical field. It all started when I was 8 years old,my dad whom was never good to me smoked a lot and my mom saw something was not right.Saw I was coughing a lot and my eyes were watery and got me in to see the doctor. Then said it was an allergy to something and sent me to an allergist. That is when the allergist told my mom and I that I am very allergic to cigarette and cigar smoke. It's the chemicals in the smoke I am allergic to and do take the medication seeing my allergist every 3 monthes for a check up.My mom did have to tell my dad no more smoking in the house at the time and said he did not care at all.I credit my mom for making the house smoke free,I felt a lot better knowing what was wrong with me.I am glad to have people in my life that care knowing can't be around this at all
