So I finally got my letter from my amazing therapist. My first appointment with my queer-friendly endo is on June 1st. I cannot wait to start HRT, and hopefully get top surgery within the next year (I have DDs, which are HARD to bind/hide). So excited about this moment and just had to share! Any tips before I begin to physically transition are greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Mariah! There was a time when I thought I'd never be able to transition. So actually moving forward is such a dream come true.

Congrats! My only advice is to be patient and try not to compare yourself to others as far as when/if certain changes occur. It can be frustrating waiting for facial hair, voice changes, etc. Focus on your own journey and enjoy the ride.

Congrats on getting your letter to start hormone therapy!!!  This is wonderful and I am so happy for you!  When you start hormones, be patient, as the changes will not happen overnight.  From what I understand based on the experiences of other trans guys, you will experience many changes during the first 3 - 4 months before they begin to slow down, but many changes will continue over the course of about 2 years before slowing down further.  Enjoy this time as you begin your journey.  You may want to keep a journal and take lots of pictures of yourself so that you can track and document those changes.

Enjoy this very special time!    ;D

Congratulations :)

A few trans men concerned with their singing voices started out with half the dose for three months.
They said this way the larynx might expand more naturally. They also kept on singing.

You could have a look into that and discuss it with your endo. Many endos don't start out with the full dose anyways.

*hugs* and congratulations again
