So I'm new here but should have been a long time member. Many years ago I knew that womanhood was the best, but I never got around to getting a leg up on this lovely transition.

I have great respect for what some have overcome as I see the mountain ahead of me that many have already climbed.

So thanks for being here and here's to hoping I fit in well.

Oh, yeah, I'm 61, just barely climbing, but loving it. I so look forward to the day I can ditch all my drab clothes.

I just bought my most lovely dress today and could not wait to get home and put it on!

Did not used to like shopping, now I get excited when I plan to do so. Ladies clothes are so beautiful and colorful and soft. I could spend hours looking at dresses, tops, blouses and bikinis. I figured out that if anyone ever asks, I just say "It's for my gurlfriend" which, of course is my better half, so it's true! I hate to lie.

Learning that doing makeup is an art and an art that gets quick results. People seem friendlier when they look at a pretty face. Now that my walk and pose are getting more comfortable (and feels great) I actually get guys asking me if I need a ride when they come up behind me while I am walking roads. I think my womanliness sets an aura, or vibe, that others pick up on.

It will be fun to post a pic of myself here when I get around to making one. Let the world know I'm coming out!

Ok, so I'm sitting here looking down at my dress and what do I see? A wee bit of cleavage! Sweet!

Hi country girl!

Well, as the saying goes, better late than never  ;D
Remember it's not about just clothes, but the whole feminine thing, living as a woman.
I agree, learning makeup is great, and looks easier than it is.
We are all learners here, but yes, some have reached the top of the mountain and are still going up!
At the moment, even looking at that mountain can look daunting, but it can be climbed.

Welcome.

Welcome to Susan's CountryGurl...

I'm moving through the final transition road, albeit slowly, already on HRT tho, needed to do that for my own sanity and to ensure the changes would help, oh I'm errr (62 just) now... but act and feel like a spring lamb/chicken naa... just a kid at heart and energy wise...

Its never to late, for many of us because of when we were born we had to conform or be conformed, its only over the last 15 to twenty years that we have found we are not alone and there is a better acceptance now, although still a way to go...

Really nice you found us, and yes I love shopping now, high street or on-line...  :-*

Look forward to seeing you around the forums
