I am trying to learn Hindi through one of several books on Sanātana Dharma (Hinduism). I'm almost finished reciting the Bhagavad Gītā in Saṃskṛta and Hindi (because I need to practice on Devanāgarī recognition). I got the book from friends when we were in Hṛṣīkeśa in the last week of May (I was there for Kumbha Mela in Ujjain for two weeks, then went north to Dillī). I'm an intellectual writer/Kṣatriya along the lines of Rajiv Malhotra. I just got started reciting the Mahābhārata in Saṃskṛta (gulp...) last night. It'll be several years before I finish it.
If you can, in English, please share with us your experience in Bhārata (India) - I can hardly get any information out of India, never mind get ANYONE there to even talk to me about the trans community and their experiences.
