This helped me understand the difference between head voice and falsetto:



It seems pretty obvious after watching, but for some reason I just didn't get it before...

Thanks for posting this Eveline. I'm sure there are a lot of us who are 'almost" there with the voice and this does make the difference clear.

Neat.

It also shows why the glissandos/slides are so important in voice training and also gives a hint on why the voice training methods of Melanie Phillips and CandiFla work - where you go up in pitch into falsetto and then bring it down without breaking into chest voice - that way you actually train to use the head voice or in the lower ranges the mixed voice instead of the chestvoice/falsetto transition.
