Since that time, I have learned about the full Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer movement. I've met transgender and genderqueer individuals, as well as becoming close friends with homosexual and bisexual people. I'm not trying to tokenize these people or make myself seem knowledgeable just by meeting these people, but rather saying that they have had a great influence on me and I feel that this is possibly the most pressing problem I need to write about. So what is the problem? All of these people are being discriminated against, and there are social and governmental institutions helping to oppress these people.
