You just might be trans* when...
1. you know more about foundation than the person at the makeup counter would ever want to know.
2...you start getting advertising emails from Torrid and Yandy.
3. your closet is filled with beautiful dress but you were born male.
4. The first site you visit in the morning is the forums at susans.org
5. And so is the last one.
6. You know more about your condition than the doctor does.
7. You find yourself explaining to someone what MTF, FTM, FFS and "being clocked" means.
8. You know what a type III forehead is.
9. instead of a shopping list, you have a surgical list.
10. You spend more money on hair removal than you do on food.
11. You're male and you know all about the Tanner stages
So long and thanks for all the fish

Frankly, I think that other people would understand us better if they had just an ounce of empathy. I don't think that comedy will help THOSE people.

Well, any positive representation helps. Just having trans people in normal non-exploitative roles as part of TV shows and movies would take us out of the dark and make people more aware of the fact were are people. It's happening a lot for gay and lesbian people now. In the Flash TV show for example the head of police is a gay guy about to marry his partner. It's not a big role nor a big part of the show but it's played as totally normal and no one is weird or a smart ass about it... normalised and positive representation.

April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.
