Hi there—

Although I know homemade binding is generally discouraged, I have a small chest and it already appears nearly flat throughout the day.

My problem is, mainly, that I don't know what to do for swimming. Also, in se shirts my chest does poke out a bit.

My parents won't allow me to purchase a binder.

Are there any homemade binding methods for a flatchested person that aren't severely risky/harmful? If there are not then thank you for reading anyway; I don't want to damage my body :-). Thanks a lot again.

What about a compression tank; e.g., Underworks. Or, long sleeve compression shirt might pass as a swim shirt. Parents might not read it as a binder and if you're already fairly small it might do the trick.

Aha — Thanks, maybe I'll give it a try.

You could try using a sports bra that is smaller than your size. It would give good compression and most of them will break seams before they do anything dangerous.
