Hi there,
I met my partner about a year and a half ago and although we had a rocky start we are still going strong :). The question I had to ask was about how to help my man adjust and deal with his repressed anger . The problem is that although he came out to me within the first three months, there isn't much support at all for him here . We have recently opened a small cafe from skevo's savings so we can go to England where there is more of a strong community and help for trans men and bisexual women. When I first met him and he came out , I had questions and at the beginning it was difficult to get him to open up and speak about the subject and when he did he would say hardly any thing and then slip into a dark place.
After a while he opened up , however with this came repressed anger . And it's mostly directed at me. I mean he is quick to anger and I know that he directs this anger towards me coz he feels close enough to me to feel safe and express himself freely but I'm worried that if I don't carefully stop this pattern of behavior it could be detrimental to my relationship with him. He has not transcended from his outside female form as yet and he often describes the experience as a 'life sentence" . We are taking measures to help him however can u please tell me how to deal with this problem that we are experiencing now

Hi Eleni, welcome to Susan's.

Some answers depend on where you live but almost always, a good starting place is to see a gender therapist. They can help with the anger issues, help find ways to deal with dysphoria and help find supportive groups and doctors. Another thing that would help your skevo would be to have him join here and get the support from this group. We are here 24/7 and it often helps to be able to just talk things out with others who are in similiar or even worse situations.

Here are some links to site rules and some answers to often asked questions.

Well thank u . I was hoping other women would respond to this message so I could get help for now since I think I made it clear that where we are living, there are no gender therapists . :) I was hoping that other women give me their tips (you know the old fashioned way without therapists :) since i dont have any other choice right now. Any way it's ok I'll find another way . I've managed to get my partner on to this site so maybe there would be a support system for him . As for the rules of this site. I don't think I've broken any just yet :) so there would be no need for me to check them out .
Thank u for Ur objective advice
Regards
