I suppose it's just that at my former workplace when they asked what I was going to do on my "day off" I'd have no hesitation telling them I was having electrolysis... got me quite a lot of sympathy!! lol!

Absolutely - sympathy for electrolysis is indeed sorely needed, and I use the word advisedly

I work as a Mental health Social Worker and I see diverse people everyday. However as I am preparing to transition I have been testing the water so to speak by leaving LGBTQ pamphlets around the building, put up a few posters and no one has said a bad word. Indeed I am hoping when I do take my first steps towards transition that the open mindedness remains.

In terms of outing yourself that is a personal choice and one only you can make. But honestly you are a woman now and what business is it of theirs.
