My daughter, Caitlyn Jenner, and Laverne Cox

Earlier this year, when I heard that Laverne Cox was coming to my home town, I sent Alice an email: "We have to take our girls to see Laverne!"

====================

Wasn't sure about posting this. It's an inconsequential news story that isn't remotely about Caitlyn Jenner and largely recounts something that happened a while ago.

But, very well written and made me cry, so I had to share it. Since it's a news story I couldn't post it anywhere else, so here it is.
Have you read my short story The Eve of Triumph?

There used to be a term on the net for things that are saccharin-sweet, so much so that people could mock them. I don't know if it's still in use. Glurge. That story is pure glurge and I don't even care! Excuse me, tears in my eyes. Must be allergies.
April 22, 2015, the day of my first face to face pass in gender neutral clothes and no makeup. It may be months to the next one, but I'm good with that!

Being transgender is just a phase. It hardly ever starts before conception and always ends promptly at death.

They say the light at the end of the tunnel is an oncoming train. I say, climb aboard!

Thank you for posting, this brought a bit of joy to a rather average night

I'm hoping positive things will come out of this I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
