or summed-up:
gender norms are very, very stupid and impede everyone's freedom, though some (most) might not even realize it, thanks to their upbringing.
Oh, I totally understand what you mean. I said something along the same lines in my post before yours -- which is why I said I feel less alone!
I have this tendency to think too deeply about things. It was nice to see someone else being humorous about having the habit.
On COGIATI:COGIATI has somewhat of a poor reputation for reasons outlined by other posters above. Even if the goal were to identify a trans woman, the test is very stereotype-driven and exclusionary to many valid trans women. At best, it identifies someone who would fit in with the stereotype for how younger girls are socialized.
Another way of considering why the COGIATI is flawed is to ask if it really is uncommon for women to answer in a "non-feminine" way. Plenty of women are comfortable parking cars in reverse, plenty of women hate writing (or are terrible at it), plenty of women don't want to be touched (hugged), can't identify people on the phone by voice, so on and so forth.
The question and answer pairings simply aren't consistent across the greater female population, even within a generous margin of error. I have to agree with another poster that the COGIATI, as well-intentioned as it is, is demeaning to women (and men, honestly).
