Hello,

My name is Carla and I am very excited to find this community. I am just starting my transition and the information on this site is incredibly helpful, both from an inspirational and informational standpoint. I just came out fully to myself after many many years of fear and denial and have finally come to the conclusion I cannot deny who I am any longer. I look forward to learning from the rest of this community about this very long and rewarding journey towards being who I really am...

Welcome to Susan's Place Carla,

Pull up a chair and we can talk it over or you can read from thousands of pages that chronicle experience, opinions and more.  Fear and denial are hallmarks of yesterday for many of us and I am also one of those who spent decades in denial.  I entirely agree with you that this is a rewarding journey.  A priceless state of living as our authentic self awaits those who are willing and able to accept themselves and live freely out loud.

You can expect one of the mod squad will be by shortly with more welcome and official terms of service.

Hi Carla, welcome to Susan's. Congrats on just starting your journey. Before I started my transition I was in denial too it seems to be a common trend among many of us. Then we get to that point and have to move forward. I look forward to seeing you around the forums. Good luck and Hugs

Thank you all for the warm welcome! As I am sure you all well know, finding people you can share this journey with, especially at the beginning, is priceless. While I am incredibly blessed to have a very supportive spouse, right now I feel like I am pretty alone in the start to this journey.

Thanks again! Y'all are great!
