Hi I am new here. My name is Lanah Haley Michelle.  I have been on the fence about being trans for a long time and still trying to seek out and find my way. I have known since I was around 3 or 4. Honestly this is my earliest memories so as far back as I can remember.  My situation is complicated, but no one complicated it but myself.  I hope to get to know you all and make new friends.

Like you I knew from the same age to, and even when I found out about gender id around 15 odd years ago, my life was already overly complicated, now that close to sorting out for good!

Welcome to Susan's Place. We all complicate our life far to much because we want to please society. Often people who don't understand us think we are doing this for some trivial reason but they couldn't be more wrong. Most of the time we have spent years attempting to fill the roles that others have defined for us. In the end we are unhappy and no longer fit anywhere in society. Like you are doing now, we reach a point were we can no longer provide what society wants and we start finding what we want out of life. I hoe we can make your journey to happiness easier. If there is anything I can do to help, let me know.

Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. I chose a career that complicates. I am active duty and we know the current situation...  It does appear to be getting better sometimes, but then it just drops off the news for a while with no official comments from the DOD. At least I have 4 years to go until I get that retirement check!
