A young South African man who had the world's first successful penis transplant last December has impregnated his girlfriend, the doctor who led the surgery said on Friday.

For a second I thought the title said "from father to child". That would have made it awkward for the widow and the daughter in law...

I didn't know that outcome after circumcisions was so common. I hope that it gets more coverage so people finally so doing both male and female genital mutilation.

But that surgery opens some interesting possibilities. Now we just have to wait until they figure out how to vagina transplants (they have already done a few uterus transplants in Sweden). Then we will need to open a trading subforum. " LFP" and "LFV" (looking for penis and looking for vagina, obviously). I can see people posting photos, measurements, etc.

I'm pretty sure you can't trade a vagina. Maybe ovaries/uterus combo.

Now if they could figure out how to do a testicle transplant - you know somebody on another thread was asking about what they do with testicles after SRS, they could then develop a new donor program. Probably not in my lifetime but medical science marches on. Or if there was a close enough match, a swap uterus and ovaries for testicles. Nah! never happen.
