Hi all,

Wow, it's been a long, long time since I last posted on here.
I see a lot of new faces, which is really great!!

It's good to be back :)

Anyway, I'm just after a bit of advice.....
I'm thinking of getting FFS, and am just wondering where to start??
I live in New Zealand, so realise I'll need to travel overseas.
Will I need to make a special trip just for a consult, or can this be done from sending pictures to the surgeon??

Any help would be much appreciated, I'm really in the dark at the moment.

Thanks, Annah :)

Hi, I live in the U.S.A, and I went to Dr. Chettawut in Thailand. I emailed pictures to him for consideration, before I went, and I had a good experience with him.

Hi Anna,

Most surgeons make a first estimation remotely based on pictures, but a pre consultation often helps to refine the first statement. I had a consultation with Dr Bart back in Sept 2014 and facing me he removed then some important points he estimated necessary at first glance, like for instance the jaw and chin work.. Anyway, if you decide to go for one surgeon he will for sure examine you before surgery day...

Thanks for the replies, much appreciated :)
I'm thinking of getting FFS in Thailand at this stage, although would prefer to just make the one trip....
I don't want to waste money on the air fair and accommodation just for a consultation.
God, I wish there was someone here in New Zealand that did FFS!!!

Anna, you should consider your health first and money, time or other concerns secondly... transition takes a lot of both anyway...

Hi, sorry if I inferred that I had full FFS with Dr. Chettawut, but since a lot of women from Anna's part of the world go to Thailand for surgery, I was letting her Know about him, because he has a good reputation, and I went to him for a lip lift, tracheal shave, breast augmentation, and lipo suction, and I had a good experience with him.  As far as my experience; Dr. Chettawut's driver picked me up at the airport, and handed me an envelope from Dr. Chettawut's office, that contained hotel information (I stayed at the Dusit Princess), and instructions to be ready the next morning for his driver to bring to the clinic to meet with Dr. Chettawut. The next morning I met with The Dr. and afterwards I went to the bank with soimeone from the office to cash in my travelers checks, to pay the remaining surgical fees.  I went to the clinic the next day for surgery; they woke me up after the surgery, and I spent the night there.  The next day, they took me back to the hotel, where I stayed for the next 14 days.  Dr. Chettawut prescribed Tramadol For pain, but it didn't fully relieve the pain I was having from the breast augmentation. He also prescribed an antibiotic, and something to help reduce swelling.  A nurse from Dr. Chettawut's office visited me everyday to change my dressings, check the incision sites, and she removed the drain tubes when it was time.  I met with Dr. Chettawut at his office the day before I flew back home.
