Revan,
I completely relate to your situation on the ex-wife deal, but you can't put blame on anything. Though me and my wife had separated due to, me being completely closed off and barricaded of my own self, like I had locked myself away from even myself and had thrown away the key, had dozens of layers of locked doors. Had been separated since Mid February (Lucky it wasn't on Valentine's day when we departed, much like the time I signed my army contract on Valentine's day back in 2006). We both agreed upon separating, which would make life much easier in the grand scale of not to be tied together, as we both have opposite minds of where we want to go and how to get there.
We are the best of friends, even more so that we have separated, and I have accepted myself. As I said right above there is no one to blame, the cosmos just seem to be misinterpreted in love and acceptance. (Readying the cheese) Life will get easier and better for you in the long run!!!
