Hiya! I'm Ash, age 19, from the UK. I'm into Doctor Who, anime, other nerdy shows, cosplay, scuba diving, and playing the saxophone

I apologise in advance for the lengthy exposition/ my life story

My sex is male, and I consider myself questioning genderfluid/ MTF transsexual. As a very young child I always used to engage in the activities of both genders, female more than male most of the time (I often engaged in activities with male children at Primary School to avoid bullying, but hated it), but then started mainly partaking in gender neutral activities going into Secondary School. It was around the age of 11 when I first started questioning my gender and sexuality, and came to terms with the fact I only liked guys, and that I was way more feminine than masculine, and that I hated everything masculine about my body.
I had to downplay these aspects of myself through Secondary School due to fear of persecution from my environment (I live in the most bigoted/ phobic part of the country; there's only ever been one LGBT+ guy on schools in the area, and he was bullied to the point of near-suicide

(although I realize many other people have it far worse)), and unfortunately during that time, puberty took it's toll

Around the age of 16 I fully came to terms with my gender identity, as being feminine almost to the point of being an MTF transsexual person, but being unsure of whether I wanted to fully transition or not, but wanting to change my body to make it as feminine as possible.
I have now done a year of university, and am now at the point where I have decided I would like to transition to a more feminine gender role, and also to feminise my body (I think I can live without sex-reassignment surgery, but I would like to take hormones to change my secondary sex characteristics, and maybe have hair-removal procedures and FFS). [Side Note: I am, however, not 100% sure of the process of being perscribed/ obtaining hormones, so if people could point me in the right direction, I'd be eternally grateful

)
Sorry for the long-winded story, and I look forward to chatting with you all, making friends and contributing to this website and the trans/ LQBTQI+ community!
