Hi Hailey,
I've been to Dearborn Wig a couple of times. Neither the owner nor the staff person I worked with was bothered by me one bit. I went there dressed 100% male at the time.
They don't have the biggest selection compared to an online site, but you can actually try wigs on and see how they look. They also have (or at least had) a coupon on their website.
There is also a wig shop in Brighton, Feke Wigs, that I've not been to, but was interested in. They also seem to be trans-friendly. Their hours just never worked with my schedule.
I've was also happy with a wig I bought at
wigs.com, but you can't try them in advance. And none of these places are allowed to take returns unless the wig is somehow defective. They do have a lot of wig information on their site to learn about different types of wigs, wig care, etc. If you want to go this route, give them an email address and wait for a 30% sale on the wig you are interested in.
