Hi everybody!

I'm searching for some advice about having a very large chest and how to best get rid of it. :( I haven't contacted a therapist or any other health professional yet, I hope some of you could share your experience and knowledge. My size is 65J (EU-measurement, in US 30J and UK 30GG), but I'm kind of thin. I want my chest to be flat. I find them repulsive but I think I would have the patience to remove them later on or gradually if it was needed. Still, it has been getting worse lately.

One thing that has been bothering me is that it believe it wouldn't even be possible to bind them as they are now. I could never pass as male as I am now, even if I took T. It would be so embarrassing and probably hurtful to bind them and fail since they are too big to bind (I think). Is it possible to do a top surgery before you begin T or put on real life test? Does anybody know the situation in Sweden? Is it possible to convince them to do a top surgery at an early stage?

I could get a breast reduction since I meet the requirements to get financial support from health care (I'm a student and don't have much money). Would a breast reduction make further top surgeries complicated or could it be better to have them reduced first? Could I get hurt if I bind them after a reduction?

I heard someone say it was better to do surgery after T, how come? Would it be better to avoid several surgeries and just go straight for top surgery? Last question, my areolas are stretched out and very pale. It looks like I don't even have areolas, but they are actually very large. Are the surgeons nowadays able to resize any kind of nipples into looking male? I'm mostly curious since I haven't been able to find any info on this.

I would be very thankful for any kind of response :)

i had a breast reduction before i took T or had top surgery and this was before i even considered top surgery or T. it didn't effect my results at all or stop me from having top surgery or binding before surgery (but after the reduction). they do the breast reduction with the lollipop or vertical incision and i was worried that would mess with my results when i did finally decide on surgery but it didn't. you can't even see the scars or anything from when i did have my reduction, completely removed. as for the nipples and areolas, they get resized. mine were stretched out too but after my reduction they were "normal" for my cup size then and after top surgery, i just have normal nipples now.

i think people think it's better because T changes your body so it could help see how your chest, etc. looks after awhile on T. i went on T first then got surgery but lots of people do the reverse. i got top surgery not even a year in on T though.

if you are a student and don't have the funds for top surgery but want to start presenting as male now but can't bind, i'd do the breast reduction. although i didn't know before i had my breast reduction that i wanted to transition (or that i even could), binding helped a lot until i could get top surgery when i did decide to transition and thanked god i got the reduction done so i could bind. going through both surgeries isn't a big deal but if i had the choice now, i would have went for top surgery first but if your breasts are too big, you will find any relief better then none.

Thank you so much for sharing. It's a great relief to hear from you. According to what I have read, I could get funds for top surgery if I get diagnosed here in Sweden. I really should look into that!

that's how it is here too (canada). i went through a few therapist that was covered by the province, got my letter and also got funded by the province for my surgery. some of those things take awhile so if you're looking into it, you should do it now.

We have a few Swedes around that may be able to help you out. With a chest that size, you may even get priority for top surgery as it would greatly impede your ability to pass as male and long term binding would be harmful.
