Similar to Clampitt, Hunter backs same-sex marriage recognition by the city and said he, too, would be inclined to move ahead with a same-sex marriage bill if elected to the Council next year. Also similar to Clampitt, he said he would strongly defend the city's non-discrimination laws covering gays and transgender persons and back efforts to strengthen the city's AIDS service and prevention programs.
