Hi yall. I took a major step a couple days ago and finally came out to my wife. Naturally she was hurt and it killed me to see her in pain I had caused. We have been doing a lot of soul searching and talking the last couple days. We have agreed that I will take time and figure out exactly what I want and then once I make my decision we will go from there. She has said that though she is bi, she isn't interested in being in a committed relationship with a woman. So unless something changes, if I go foward with transition, our marriage but not our friendship and parenthood, will be over.

Congrats. It sounds like you two have a workable, for today, plan. My wife and I have been on this roller coaster ride together for about 6 years. Also with her not able to make any promises about a possible future with me fully transitioning.

For now it is one day at a time. Taking things slowly as my GD is not overwhelming. Plus healthy doses of honest and open discussions to keep imaginations and fears under control

Becca, I'm glad you were able to finally come out to her. I'm glad you have started to make a plan for what comes next at least. Hugs

Becca,

Congratulations on talking with your spouse. That really stirs up all the emotions and worries and anxieties, doesn't it? I did this almost 2 months ago. I was a wreck beforehand.

I think depending on how far I go, my situation may be the same as what you have described. We and I are taking it slow for now.

It has taken a huge amount of anxiety out of my life but added some back into it.

I wish you much luck. I hope your path is smooth. Let us know if you have questions, need to vent or just need a sympathetic  shoulder.

With warm thoughts,
