Hi everyone,

Well the time has come for me to come out to my sister. She is coming to visit for the 4 of July. I have not seen her in 5 years so I know that I have changed a lot. I am one year on HRT. I am married for 30 years and my wife supports me in every way. I am at the point that trying to hide my boobs is almost impossible unless I wear a very baggy shirt. I wear female clothing all the time even to work. I am not out but I get lots of looks so I am sure a lot of people have guessed that I am trans. Wish me luck
Happy 4 of JULY Everyone

Best of luck to you Kristy! I too am coming out to my sister this weekend. In fact tomorrow is the big day. I'm still early in HRT-- wanted to talk to her before changes became apparent. I believe she'll be supportive, but there really is no way to know until we're into the conversation.
Finally at peace with myself and excited about the journey ahead

I hope it goes well for you! Based upon what you mentioned about the situation, I think you will be fine.  :)

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.

Hi
I just wanted to let everyone know that I told my sister and everything went better then I thought it would.
Happy day. Thank you for all your support.

that's very encouraging Kristy:)  I haven't mentioned anything to my sister yet, and am kinda dreading it. She did help me move to a new apartment over the weekend, and noticed a lighted makeup mirror, some wild nail decals I got from Amazon, (which I nervously claimed no knowledge of..but she did laughingly ask me if I was a crossdresser) I had also mentioned to her earlier that I had a transgendered friend on facebook, and talked about an assessment I took once that showed me as being highly androgynous. She just repeated what she had said weeks earlier when I brought up Kaitlyn Jenner in conversation.. "to each, their own"  So perhaps my coming out will not be the bad experience I am so concerned about.
I feel very happy for you Kristy!
