Had to share that I just booked my surgery date! The 14th of December. Now that I actually have a date I am so jazzed! The only 'down side' is having to talk with my primary care physician. Not looking forward to that. But, yay for giving myself a Christmas present!  ;)

Thanks and good luck! Maybe you'll post an update? I almost bailed after watching a surgery video, but then thought, "Nah, it's worth it!"

I will most definitely post an update!  I hear ya on the video thing,  I YouTubed a video of the exact operation I will be having and it kinda weirded me out too but I just keep thinking of how much better I'll feel afterwards and how nice it will be to be able to get out of the shower and not block out my chest in the mirror and to just be able to put on a shirt. . . To not have to constantly adjust my binder throughout the day. . . To not have to hunch my shoulders ... that feeling of freedom completely outweighs any worries I have about surgery.

Thanks! I actually had my appointment with my PCP just this morning. I was so nervous and - since she doesn't know anything re my gender identity, etc. and I've no reason, at this point, to discuss it with her - I chickened out and said "breast reduction." But, she was totally cool with that, didn't ask why or anything. I'm guessing she's read the therapist's notes and knows what's up. She just said that since we're going to combine the pre-op with my annual to request a 40 minute appointment. Yay. :o I was soooo dreading that!

And in one more awesome thing - surgery is scheduled for 14 December and I don't have to go back to work until 3 February! So, seven weeks without having to get up and at it each day. I was going to be working in January, but was able to make some changes, just in case I'm not feeling up to it. Woo-hoo!

Enjoy the time off and don't stress out too much either. My 6 weeks went super quick and I'm not looking forward to going back to work next week :(
¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno.
