cutting to the chase,

I seem to have good sized shoulders for a pre-T ftm, as well as doing weights and working out a lot, and my binder works well, my main problem is my butt. genetics has decided ( as for my younger sister so I know it is genetics...) that I shall have tonnes of weight go to my butt and thighs, and this is a real big source of frustration, anger and self hate for me. I look great from the front, and waist-up from the sides, but below the  waist and from behind ( ranting right now ) I look worse than cis girls do. >:( I hate it tonnes, and it wont go away with biking/running exercise, or cutting down on eating.
I don't have any money to get compression shorts, what can I do? also will testosterone change this hellish weight?

cheers, david

So this probably won't make you feel any better, but apparently the healthiest way to carry fat is on your lower body. It's more dangerous to have an 'apple shape' where you carry your fat around the middle. Unhelpful fun-fact aside, you could try exercises that work the glute muscles and just cardio in general. But be careful not to go underweight, do crazy diets or miss meals. That's not the right thing to do.

Testosterone will shift your fat distribution away from your bum and more towards your belly. That said, I still have a bum that puts most girls to shame. :/ I mean it is a definite improvement from pre-T, but it was pretty substantial to start with. Sometimes it helps me to look at pictures of cis males who have impressive bums, to remind myself that it does happen and I don't have to view it as a female thing. I've mostly made peace with it, except when I'm shopping for pants >:( You could try buying some cheap bicycle shorts to compress things a bit?

I'll second what kast said, and relay a point someone said to me about the same issue:

If you're a stocky built guy, you'd be expected to have fitting legs and butt, big legs and butt are ok if it matches your frame.

You could try sagging your pants, going for tighter shirts and baggy jeans, they should help.

Try not to stress it, T will fix it at the very least :)

im guessing the main thing that makes in stick out my eyes, is that i have very weedy noodle arms, small frame, so my legs and waist part are big ( atleast to me ) in comparison. I do heaps of weights but the progress is slow >:|
cant wait until I can go on testosterone, and no longer be a weed
