So, I just started my HRT. And I feel like I need to tell the guy I'm in a relationship with. Since well.. stuff will change. I'm in a gay-relationship now. I'm MtF. He says he is bisexual - and I have no clue of how he will react. We've been going out for 4-5 months.. I'm so scared.

Telling you significant other is difficult. I hope he is supportive and understanding.

In many ways telling my Boyfriend was harder than telling the doctor, but his response was so much better than my previous primary care doctor. I would be open and honest when you decide to tell him. Explain it as best you can without overwhelming him. Then be patient and help him with any questions he has. Hugs

What did you tell him? Like how did you say it?

Mariah

When I first told him I went and explained what brought my gender issues to the fore front in the first place because my being intersexed  played a huge role in my early discovery that something was wrong with my gender. I used that as my gate way to explain that I'm transgendered. My reason for doing it that way was I thought it would make easier for him to understand and go over better. Fact is it actually made it more difficult and resulted him asking more questions where as if I had just said I was transgendered and explained what that is and what is being done for it he would still have been fine with it, but I would have had far less questions. Whether that was the best way, I don't know. I am sure my being honest was the best thing which has been confirmed time and time a gain with him. You need to find away that your comfortable explaining to them. The more personal the better, but whatever route makes you the most comfortable is the way to go. He had a descent idea of what transgender was coming in, but you have no way of knowing what knowledge your boyfriend has coming in. Hugs
