The Jim Collins foundation is an organization that accepts essays between April 1 - August 1 every year, explaining why and what your surgical needs are in your transition. If chosen they will cover the costs of your surgery, travel and all. Or, they can give you a grant for half, at least. Highly recommend looking it up if this is the first you've heard.

I just want to ask others who have submitted an essay. How much detail did you really get into on your life and personal things? It is 800 words min, and you must include the exact surgery, doctor, etc. which takes up text.

I love to write but this has got me at a stand still. I've started it a few paragraphs in but I'm uncertain about it all.

Any help appreciated. Thanks  :)
