I am writting this hoping for a better deal than what I have at the moment.  I grew up in a world where men were macho and you shunned if one was not.  This was the begining of a long road of DEPRESION. (sniff)   Things became worse.  My depresion ruled my world and I withdrew.  I mean that I had this feeling that being a male was not right and I was a kid, I had no clue about being transgender and no one to set me straight.  To throw fuel on the fire, I got sick.  I got cancer which bloomed into three brain tumors which screwed up my gate.  I got more depressed. I guess that the only goods things about that was had no need to explain my ->-bleeped-<- which kept me from ending it.  I tried to keep my secret by becoming a husband and a father, but the medical condition got worse and she was gone and the child went too.  I use a walker now but I crossdress in my little studio and I feel right.  I have decided to live the rest of my life the way I should have.  The way that makes me feel better.  I want to this right and I want to do this naturally.  I'm too old to resssignment surgery. I feel that the cutting and the healing may interfer with all the other crap going on in my body.  Just point me in the right direction.

Hi Ickybaby

A very warm welcome to Susan's

Glad you have joined us.

I am so sorry and sad for you that you have had such a rough time.

I too was born in times where "men were men and women were women" and like you, knew I was all wrong from a very early age, and was also very depressed as a kid through to mid teens.

I would suggest, if you have not already, trying to see a gender therapist/counsellor, they'll put you in touch with the right folks in your area. It is important to have some sort of physical interaction with people that could help you on a face to face level.

Of course being here you are welcomed with open arms, and, will bring you a lot of friendships, support, advice and suggestions.

Best wishes on your new life being you and its never to late xxx
