It happened again tonight.  This boggles my mind. Ever since I changed my presentation,  I've been getting unsolicited comments and men trying to start conversations with me. Doesn't matter that I'm wearing guy clothes and no makeup. The only other time this happened was when I was in college and in my very feminine fashion prime. But I expected the attention because I knew I looked pretty and stood out like a sore thumb, and wasn't really bothered by it. And it was just stares and catcalls, not men walking up to me!

They're all the same type of men too! Older guys with grey beards who seem like hard rock/metal fans. This would be cool if they didn't just see me as an attractive woman.

Obviously, I'm failing hardcore at passing as male. What are they so attracted to? Are females with mohawkish undercuts sexy? Is my attitude that magnetic now? You don't really have to answer.

I might love this when my voice changes.

Are you sure you're not being read as a young gay male? And mohawkish undercuts are sexy! It's interesting that you're being hit on by a very specific type of dude.

This happens to me too. At first they usually ask if I am a lesbian. No matter what I say they start hitting on me. Once one asked if I have been taking some hormones and proceeded to hit on me. They always seem to be straight too. Once I thought I could be friends with a guy I met in a bar. I introduced myself with my male name and all. We swapped e-mail addresses. Then he started talking about his ex-wife and that I should accept that she needs his help. After that he started sending weird lovesick messages. I bet he still thinks I got mad because he helps his ex.

Once I was with my feminine and super pretty sister and a guy came to hit on me. Wtf indeed... When he realized that I am not interested he said: "are you a man or something? Not cool." (Translated from my language)

This keeps happening. Confusing but also bit amusing afterwards. What are they thinking? Maybe they fantasize about turning a butch lesbian straight for them or something.

It's really interesting that you got a certain type. Maybe they just think you look really cool.

Yeah. I can't wait to get lower voice.

I get hit on by men all the time. I couldn't tell you what their sexualities are, because I usually cut people I don't know off with a "Please leave me alone" as soon as they try to ask a question or get a response.

It might be a haircut thing. Macklemore and I have the same haircut. Maybe all these dudes just want our hair.

I think I figured out my situation. It's got to be my hair in combination with my choice of clothing. I wear men's pants from Hot Topic, T-shirts from h.Naoto, and have a black and red mohawk. They're all biker dudes/metalheads who think I'm a dominatrix in street clothes. Or a porn star in street clothes. Good grief. That has to be it. fml

Not that there's anything wrong with those people, but I'm demisexual so omg wrong end of the sexuality spectrum guys.

Hmm. If I weren't so certain that my face is undeniably female, I'd say you might be onto something. I hadn't thought of that.
