Has anyone experienced getting therapy from a psychiatrist in order to obtain letters for HRT and surgeries? I'm currently on T, but I got my letter from a therapist with a Masters in psychology. However in order for my insurance to pay for top surgery, I have to have a letter from someone in the mental health profession with a doctorate. are they difficult to work with? I have a deadline and I want to get as many sessions in as possible to get a letter by September for surgery in October/November
