over my weekend i decided to just say screw it and to tell everyone on my monday (last night) during the meeting at work.  so not knowing, it just happen to be the day the new store manager was going to be on overnights at our meeting.  so finally got myself to say it, and now everyone knows.

no more having to hide :D  for the most part everyone has at least been polite about it.  no sours in the crowd yet. and am now going by my name at work. yay me! a little less pressure and stress off me.

...I think for most of us it is a futile effort to try and put this genie back in the bottle once she has tasted freedom...

small update as its been about 3 weeks since i came out at work.

pretty much my entire shift is being supportive of it and ive recieved no negative comments from anyone.  theres a few slipups with the names here and there but for the most part everyone is using appropriate name and pronouns now, and wow, it is amazing.

there is 1 person who i know is 100% opposed and talks badly about it but hes already gotten in trouble for it from management after another coworker reported him to every level of managemt in the store.  and when he had to work with me a couple days ago was being polite about it at least.  its good knowing that my entire management team unanimously supports my transition.  now if only walmart had insurance that wasnt based in arkansas so i could get insurance to cover something but oh well. guess you cant have everything.

there are people that will stare, which is understandable given where i am at,  even though this is california, i am in a fairly religious and conservative part in nor-cal, and for most of my coworkers, me and another employee are the only 2 transgender people that they have ever encountered before, and the 2 of us are way way different people about our approach to transitioning. so i try not to let it bother me.

absolutely, im able to be so much more relaxed now.  and not having to worry about trying to hide things at work anymore, or having the fear of other people finding out.   just being able to relax and do my job is awesome.

It's the best feeling in the world to be able to go to work and be Yourself. No hiding no watching everything you say ,just to relax and get through your day. Coming out at Work was the best thing I ever Did
The girl inside is just as important expecially to Yourself :)
