Physical exercise and dysphoria

Those of you into exercise does it affect your feelings of dysphoria. Really doing some exercise  enough does release a lot of endorphins. I am not a scientist so that is about all I know. But they make me feel happy and give out a warm feeling. Natural stimulants or drugs or whatever. I have never used street/illegal drugs for that purpose so I don't even go there and they are not part of the discussion. For me it is a part of the reason why I am into sports apart from having a lot more energy and keeping my weight in check. Feelings of stress and worry also melt away. I am sure everyone has heard exercise might be healthy in some way.

After a workout unless I have totally overdone it and I am totally exhausted this slight rush or whatever seems to intensify the feeling of dysphoria. It is not just the aftereffect of having melted stress away it clearly brings out dysphoric feelings or intensifies them.  Has anyone else experienced this? I don't know what is happening in my mind and I wonder what the reason is.

I wrote on this forum about a similar subject. I kept myself so busy with work and exercise that I didn't allow too much time to dwell on this subject. I set some serious exercise goals and have done 3 Ironman triathlons . It works its not a complete success but held it at bay.
When we first start our journey the perception and moral values all dramatically change in wonderment. As we evolve further it all becomes normal again but the journey has changed us forever.

Huh, I thought OP was going to say exercise decreased dysphoria.

As a former dancer, I've been involved in intense physical activity for most of my life. Can't say I've ever linked my dysphoria to exercise, but that may be because I started dance at a very early age -- it's a part of me.
