I've been on HRT for just about 3 months now. I was on a low dose the first month, then it was increased, and increased once more a month ago. This last month I've been on what will likely be my maximum dose. I really don't know if I've seen much since, but I can't tell. Some things are happening. My skin could be getting a little lighter and softer/clearer on average, not sure, but I'd say maybe. I also shaved my head at the start. I was losing a bit of hair and it was all uneven from me cutting it myself for the last 10 years or so. I wanted it to grow in more evenly. I haven't been loosing any hair at all since starting HRT and I've been told it looks darker (almost black anyway), but best of all, some of the areas that were starting to thin seem to be thickening up. I'm fairly positive it's positively impacted my hair. I also have breast buds going at this point and they've been there since about a month ago and have increased in size a bit. So yeah, I guess things are happening.
Anyway, one thing that I haven't noticed yet is any fat redistribution. I mean, there could be a little. I'm not too worried about it since I know three months isn't really long enough to see much of anything, if anything at all. I am wondering if I should start cycling my weight though. I started at about 145 lbs and have put on about 10-15 lbs since, now usually weighing in at 155-160 lbs. I'm the tiniest bit below 6'0"... so basically 6'0" and even at 155-160 lbs I don't too have much fat on me, but I hate being this weight. I normally like keeping it at 140-145 lbs and was even 135 lbs two summers ago. My arms get really thin and my waist gets down to 28"-30" in that range and it gives me an hourglass type shape around the hips and midsection, but at 155-160 lbs all my fat goes to my arms and stomach/sides of my waist. I just don't like the look in comparison to when I'm at lower weights. Makes me look more straight down and takes a bit of curve away, but I know I need the fat. I probably won't get any results if I'm too thin, so for at least 2 1/2 years I'd like to keep at a heavier weight for some redistribution before I get back down.
I just feel like maybe I put on the weight too quickly while my estrogen was low and testosterone was probably still at a moderate level. My fat is still going to the same areas and as far as I know HRT will redistribute new fat, not move around the fat already in place. It should also, hopefully, make me burn fat from the male deposits. Should I loose 10-15 lbs over the next month, hoping the fat is burned from the male areas and then start packing on the lbs again, likely with a higher estrogen level? I mean, I could get down to 140-145 lbs and then throw on 25-30 lbs and get to 170 lbs for a bit. Or would I just be shooting myself in the foot at this point? I can do it through a lot of cardio and just eating right and I loose weight very, very quickly. I don't want my breasts to stop growing or to loose the tissue I'm starting to get though or anything else that might stunt results.
Any opinions? Thanks in advance everyone...
