Hi everyone
I've been on T for about 3 years now, and haven't had a period for almost as long. But few days ago my stomach started to hurt a lot. At first I thought I was just sick, but then I noticed a little bit of blood in my pee - and it wasn't just a normal blood, it was the dreadful period stuff. There was only a tiny little piece of it, I'm surprised I even noticed. I can't even say I have spotting or anything, can't see it in my boxers and such, only sometimes when I wipe there's a bit of it but not always. It's been going on for four days now and I have the most terrible cramps I've ever had in my life, I can't even get out of bed. It has always been bad even pre-T, but this feels like hell, don't know if it got worse or if I just forgot how bad it used to be.
Anyway, has anyone here had this happen? Do you think it's going to just last for a week or so and then go away? I'm a bit worried since there's almost no blood at all that it will take my body more than a week to get rid of all the stuff (idk what it's called). I can't even go to work because of this, but I currently can't go see a doctor either because health care sucks in this city. All I do is lay in my bed and stuff myself with ibuprofen.

I've had this happen. I've also heard of it happening quite a bit, actually - so don't feel alone!

In my case it had to do with low T (got some blood work done), even after 3 days post IM when it should be peaking. That being said, low T isn't necessarily the cause - the endometrium can and does still thicken on T since endometrial cell proliferation (& tissue growth) is regulated by estradiol then progesterone chronologically in a cycle. It also may not be a full on period like pre-T, since it all has to do with the frequency and amount of tissue growth, which is usually reduced when on T.

I know it totally sucks about healthcare, I'm dealing with the same crap :/ Really the best way to figure it out if it's recurring is to get a good panel done with T, E2, and P levels. However in the meantime, try using a heating pad and/or some slight pressure. Also, if you're a coffee drinker or smoke, it can make cramps a bit worse from vasoconstriction. Generally speaking, vasodilators can help, and there are some homeopathic ones out there!

Long response, sorry. Try to hang in there and know that it happens, and you're not the only one!

I've had it happen a couple of times. I had been on T for four years. It lasted a couple of days and there wasn't much blood. It hurt like hell, for while it lasted.

Thanks guys, that really eased my mind, knowing that I'm not the only one going through this little hell. My gf got me a heating pad today so hopefully things will get better lol  ;D Also with the vasoconstriction, I realised that since I started taking meds for ADD, this is probably what's making the cramps so much worse, so I'm going to take a break from amphetamines until this is done. Thanks again!
