Just making a point...
"When homeless men face violence, there are no places to turn" -- Fixed it for you.
If a man is attacked? He should've been able to defend himself.
Except he goes to prison for defending himself.
And, when it was mostly women who were homeless, there was a huge outcry...
Now it's mostly males, and veterans make up a large percentage of homeless...
Where is the outcry?
I'm not seeking to derail the thread, but wanted to point out: We shouldn't be exclusionary if we are looking for equality. (Having said that, I am also aware the op-ed was not written by someone here. ;-) ) We just need to be sensitive the same way we want others to be sensitive towards us.
